past.
3) Discuss the origins, rise and fall of the Empires of Mali.
4) Egyptologist Barry Kemp asserts that it is just as reasonable to seek causes that prevented or
slowed the development of old civilizations as it is to seek causes for its occurrence”. What is he
implying? Does the archaeological evidence in old civilizations support his claim?
