Carefully read through the following passage and answer the questions that follow. Limit
answers to One and a half pages. Duration 2hrs
In Cameroon today, the State through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has been trying to
integrate civic and ethics education in the program of schools and colleges. To follow up this program, Regional
Inspectors have been appointed and mobilized to serve at different regions of the country. The prime objective
of the State is to inculcate value education and to bring to the students a certain degree of awareness and civic
responsibilities. There is no doubt that civics and ethics will equip students with knowledge on institutional
structures in Cameroon, reversing moral bankruptcy, crime and insecurity and issues of global concern like
environmental protection.

Define civics and ethics education and state why it is useful for your academic or professional training

From the passage state the main actor promoting civics and ethics education and give the strategies it is
