Question 3: Give the properties (length and angles) of the seven basic crystal systems of

a unit cell. (3.5marks)

Question 4: Determine the Miller indices (hkl) of the shaded planes below. All steps are

required (ie. Intercept, reciprocals, reduction, etc ...)

Question 5: For the intercepts x, y and z with values of 3, 1 and 2 respectively, find the

Miller indices (3mks)
