“There is widespread research interest in information and communication technologies (ICTs).
According to Crede & Mansell (1998), ICTs are crucially important for sustainable development
in developing countries. In the past two decades, most developed countries have witnessed
significant changes that can be traced to ICTs. These multi-dimensional changes have been
observed in almost all aspects of life: economics, education, communication, banking, insurance
accountancy, marketing and even travel. In a society driven by technology, getting information
quickly is very importantfor both the sender and receiver .... In addition to examining the
influencing role of ICTs in our daily life, it is imperative to critically examine the challenges in
the adoption and use of ICT in developing societies…….”
